Blow To BP As Court Rules Against Rosneft Arctic Deal

We see two possible outcomes of AAR's victory against BP. Either the two sides will come to a financial settlement, allowing the BP-Rosneft deal to proceed, or Rosneft will seek another IOC partner to replace BP. BP is obviously hoping for the former outcome but however things turn out, the arbitration court ruling is a major setback for the company and CEO Bob Dudley's strategy to turn it around after the Macondo oil spill.
