Kudu Gas-To-Power Project Derailed As Gazprom Walks Away

Gazprom's exit from the Kudu gas-to-power project is a serious blow to the Namibian government's hopes of ending the country's chronic energy shortages. We expect the remaining partners in the project, Tullow and Itochu, to push for a small-scale LNG-export plant to replace the gas-to-power option, but this is likely to face resistance from the government.
