Inpex Secures Japanese Buyers For Ichthys LNG, Painting Bullish Demand Picture

A series of LNG supply deals signed between Inpex and Japanese utilities for output from the Australian Ichthys LNG project is the clearest sign yet that Australia will see rising Japanese demand for LNG after the Fukushima nuclear disaster. In our view this boosts the outlook for a number of other projects, but we continue to warn of cost overruns and project delays.
