Shale Gas Production Boom Continues In Spite Of Low Prices

Stronger than expected US natural gas production over the first seven months of 2011 poses major upside risk to our forecasts. We currently see only a slight increase from 2010's production of 611bcm; however, the EIA's latest assumption of a 5.8% increase indicates production of about 645bcm.
