Frade Fallout May Prove Long-Term Handicap For Chevron

The consequences of the Frade oil spill are only just beginning to emerge, with Brazil's ANP issuing Chevron with a US$28mn fine on November 22. The fines are likely to grow but it is the potential loss of 'class A' status that will be of most concern to the oil major.
