Gas Price Reforms Are A Boon To PetroChina And CNC

CNC and PetroChina will benefit the most from China's natural gas price reform pilot project in Guangdong and Guangxi. We expect the reforms to be rolled out nationwide over the coming year as Beijing looks to encourage domestic gas exploration and production. China will also hope to ease losses incurred by state-run companies which have been forced to buy natural gas at international prices and sell into China's heavily subsidised domestic market.
