Regional Gas Production Set To Take Off, Oil Output To Post Solid Gains
January 2012 | Industry NewsBMI View: The Middle East region will see large increases in oil and gas production over the coming decade, although rising consumption will eat into these volumes to a great degree. Iraq and Israel are set to shake up the old order, while Iran will struggle under the weight of international sanctions. For foreign investors, the region offers both opportunities and risks, but the split between investor-friendly and investor-cautious countries remains largely unchanged over the forecast period.
