Aldous-Avaldsnes Becomes Sverdrup - Lundin Cedes Development To Statoil

Given Statoil's deep pockets, offshore experience and larger stake in the licences, it makes sense that it should take on the development of Sverdrup. Lundin and the other junior partners are still set to face high capital requirements associated with the project but the windfall could well be transformational notwithstanding appraisal setbacks.
