First Subsalt Surveys Signal Start of Pre-Salt Hunt

BMI View: An agreement signed between TGS and Sonangol to acquire 3D multi-client seismic surveys covering 12, 500sq km of acreage indicates that Angola's subsalt upstream is about to benefit from rapid growth. Indeed, the signing of PSCs for the subsalt blocks in December 2011 paved the way for not only oil producers but also for services companies to rapidly expand their footprint across these highly prospective formations.
