Oil Exports Set To Fall As Growth Spurs Domestic Demand
January 2012 | Industry NewsBMI View: We expect Vietnam to become a small net importer of oil by 2015 as consumption growth - driven by possitive macro fundamentals- outstrips higher production. This is a trend prevalent across many Asian markets - as maturing fields and rapid economic growth limit export volumes. The picture for gas is much brighter in Vietnam (as it is in the region), with significant reserves and production growth expected over the next five years.
