Fukushima Pushes Vladivostok To The Fore
June 2012 | Industry NewsBMI View: Plans to build a LNG plant in the Russian city of Vladivostok so Russia can expand gas exports from its Far East to Japan are progressing. Indeed, booming Japanese gas demand in the wake of the Fukushima disaster offers a unique opportunity for Gazprom. The company is, therefore, keen to press on with its LNG projects in the Far East so as to realise a decisive advantage or even displace some of its many competitors with their sights set on the North Asian consumers.
