Infrastructure Presents Supply-Export Paradox
June 2012 | Industry NewsBMI View: The difficulty that Chevron has in securing crude supplies from the Trans Mountain pipeline system for its Burnaby refinery highlights the bottlenecks in Canada's infrastructure which need to be addressed. Without the advancement of key infrastructure projects to move Canada's oil and gas more effectively, the country will be faced with the paradox of being over-supplied with oil and gas, but prevented from exporting these due to the competition exports will pose to domestic consumption.
