Asian Interest Continues To Grow Despite Risks
June 2012 | Industry NewsHarvest Natural Resources has agreed to sell all of its interests in Venezuela to Indonesia's state-owned PT Pertamina for US$725mn in cash. This announcement immediately sent Harvest's share price sky-rocketing by more than 80% - a strong indication of investor relief over its divestment from Venezuela. However, it also reiterates the pattern we have earlier highlighted of Asian interest in Venezuela's resources despite associated risks.
