Island Continues To Plough Irish Furrow

London-listed oil independent Island Oil & Gas has applied for more concessions off the west coast of Ireland, this time for six blocks in the Southern Slyne Basin, to complement its existing portfolio of nine Irish offshore licenses. Although officially a UK-based company, Island is solely developing Irish licenses and has pledged to find large quantities of hydrocarbons to reduce Ireland's energy import requirement.
