June 2006 | Company News AlertThe Spanish Supreme Court has upheld its decision to halt Gas Natural's hostile takeover bid for power producer Endesa, leaving the institution time to consider the smaller firm's legal challenge against its suitor. The Court heard three appeals, from Gas Natural, fellow domestic utility Iberdrola and the Spanish government, all intended to thaw the hostile takeover process.
