Algerian LNG Win-Win for Repsol And Gas Natural
April 2006 | Company News AlertSpanish-Argentine firm RepsolYPF, Spain's Gas Natural and Algerian national company Sonatrach recently launched a major liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Algeria, one of the most significant to be undertaken by foreign investors in the North African country. The Gassi Touil project will have an estimated output of 4mn tonnes per annum (tpa) and is due to become operational by 2009, with a minimum duration of 30 years. The project gives a strong boost to Repsol's profile in Algeria, and indeed, the entire North Africa region, which is becoming one of Repsol's key priorities outside its Spanish and Latin American
