Shell Hits Black Gold Again in Nigeria

Royal Dutch Shell reported an energy discovery in its deepwater Bongo North oil and gas license area offshore Nigeria, highlighting the major's leading position in, and deep commitment to, the West African country's upstream. The discovery follows closely on the heels of new production for Shell coming from the offshore Erha deepwater development. The Bongo North area is located close to Shell's 255,000b/d deepwater Bonga field, one of the oil major's most important assets and the first of its kind in Nigeria.
