Iran-Pakistan-India Pipeline: More Than A Pipe-Dream?
May 2006 | Project NewsEven as Pakistan, Iran and now India meet up in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad to discuss pricing issues for gas se to be transported through the proposed pipeline linking the three countries, militants have not ceased their operations against the oil industry in Pakistan's troubled province of Baluchistan, an area bordering Afghanistan and Iran through which the pipeline would pass. An explosion over the weekend killed nine people, continuing what has become a regular occurrence of disaffected Baluch tribesman attack gas pipelines, railways and power stations in the south-western province.
