Cairn Upgrades India Oil Potential By 1bn Barrels
March 2006 | Company News AlertUK-based oil explorer Cairn Energy this morning delighted the stock market with a one billion barrels upgrade to the reserves located in its Indian Rajasthan concession area. The company has revised upwards its estimates of proven and probable reserves by around 20%, as well as pledging a separate listing in India of its Indian subsidiary, with the aim of returning cash to shareholders. A 6% share price rise greeted the news, which accompanied Cairn's full year 2005
