PetroVietnam Goes From Strength to Strength as Overseas Exploration Successful
March 2006 | Company News AlertThe overseas arm of Vietnamese national energy firm PetroVietnam has hit black gold at two of its exploratory wells in Algeria and Malaysia, underlining its growing strength as a major South East Asia oil producer. The Algerian well, developed with Thailand's PTTEP and Algerian state oil company Sonatrach, tested at around 5000 barrels per day (b/d), with the Malaysian well hitting an output of 3300b/d.
