Gazprom To Target US LNG Market
September 2006 | Contract NewsUK oil major BP and Russian gas monopoly Gazprom have signed an agreement for the shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Trinidad & Tobago to the Atlantic Basin. BP will provide the LNG from its extensive operations in the Caribbean islands and Gazprom is to market the cargo to US consumers. The first delivery of 135,000 cubic metres sailed for Cove Point, Maryland from Point Fortin in Trinidad on September 15.
