Saudi Aramco May Boost Crude Exports To Asia

Saudi Aramco, the largest state oil company in the world, may increase its crude exports to Asia by up to 2% next year in order to meet growing demand. Last year Saudi Aramco shipped 3.5mn barrels per day (b/d) - less than half of the company's exports - to Asia, where rapid economic expansion in China and India has led to surging levels of energy consumption. We see China's oil import requirement rising from 5.8mn b/d in 2005 to just over 8mn b/d in 2010. India's requirement is expected to increase from 1.7mn b/d last year to 2.2mn b/d by
