South Korea Increases Russian Gas Supplies

Russia is likely to increase sales of natural gas to South Korea following a meeting to discuss co-operation between the two countries. Details of the agreement will be decided between Russian gas monopoly Gazprom and Korea Gas Corporation (KGC). BMI sees this move as a natural alliance between Russia, the holder of the world's largest proven gas reserves, and South Korea, the world's biggest importer of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
