Qatar Taps Into Growing Asian Market By Boosting LNG Sales To Japan
November 2006 | Industry NewsQatar is seeking to take advantage of growing Asian demand for liquefied natural gas (LNG) by increasing its market share in Japan. Qatar Liquefied Gas Company (Qatargas), a unit of state-controlled Qatar Petroleum, is offering spot cargoes of LNG to Chubu Electric Power Company and other Japanese utilities in order to exploit rising levels of LNG demand in the Asian country.
