Major Oil Field Found Off Papua
February 2007 | Project NewsKorea National Oil Company (KNOC) has announced the discovery of a major oil field in the Wakam Block offshore Papua province in Indonesia. The field, which KNOC has said contains 671mn barrels of oil, would substantially alter Indonesia's declining reserves position should the claimed volumes be proven.
