Stability, With Upside Bias
February 2007 | Economic OutlookBMI View: We are constructive on the Kenyan shilling, and expect the unit to appreciate over the coming two years at least. Not only is growth likely to remain strong (see Economic Activity) but we also expect Kenya's balance of payments position to improve over the coming years, with oil prices falling, a more optimistic outlook for exports and projected continued surpluses on the capital and financial accounts.
