BP Offers Kovykta Stake To Gazprom
February 2007 | Industry NewsUK-based major BP has offered a majority stake in the giant Kovykta gas field in eastern Siberia to Russian gas monopoly Gazprom . BP's Russian joint venture TNK-BP currently has a 65% stake in Kovykta, which holds an estimated 1.9trn cubic metres (tcm) of natural gas, around 4% of Russian proven reserves.
