India Seeks Sakhalin-III Stake

India is set to ask for a stake in the Sakhalin-III oil and gas project in Russia's Far East following an invitation from Russian Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov to get involved. Russian President Vladimir Putin is due to make a state visit to India later this week and India's Oil Minister Murli Deora plans to ask for a share in the project at their scheduled meeting.
