Indonesian Drive To Boost Production
March 2007 | Industry NewsFaced with declining oil reserves and production, a growing crude import bill, and the possibility of being relegated to observer status in the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Indonesia has a number of energy challenges it needs to tackle. We expect the country's crude demand to grow from an estimated 1.1mn barrels per day (b/d) in 2006 to around 1.25mn b/d by 2010, and its gas demand to grow from approximately 41.4bn cubic metres (bcm) to 52.8bcm over the same period.
