Offshore Gas Flows From Pohokura

A spokesman for the Pohokura joint venture in New Zealand has announced that gas has started flowing in the first of six offshore wells. The news follows the start of onshore production in 2006 and appears to confirm hopes that output from Pohokura can compensate for the decline of the Maui field, New Zealand's major hydrocarbons deposit.
