Qatar To Introduce LNG Contract

As media speculation over the possible formation of a 'Gas OPEC' intensifies, a major step forward in introducing transparency into the global trade in gas has been announced by Qatar. The Gulf emirate is planning to launch a traded liquefied natural gas (LNG) contract, the first of its kind, at IMEX, an energy exchange which will be opened later this year in Doha.
