A recent report, the World Offshore Oil & Gas Production and Spend Forecast 2007-2011 (by Douglas-Westwood and Energyfiles ) has forecast that growth in offshore oil and gas production will ramp up industry spending from US$219bn in 2006 to US$275bn by 2011.
