OMV is Austria's largest listed industrial company and a leading oil and gas group in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), with group sales of EUR18.97bn, a workforce of 40,993 employees and market capitalisation of around EUR15bn in 2006. OMV is active in Refining and Marketing (R&M), with over 2,511 filling stations and several refineries in 13 countries, and in Exploration and Production (E&P) in 20 countries on five continents, however, its E&P activity in emerging Europe remains minimal.
