Serbia Waits On South Stream

According to a report in Reuters Serbia aims to attract US$3bn of new investment in its energy sector in 2007-2009, although decisions on specific projects are contingent on a decision by Russia on the route of its South Stream project. The country, which is not a member of the European Union (EU), has close ties with Russia and is attempting to recast itself as a regional energy hub.
