Gazprom Reroutes Nord Stream

Russian gas giant Gazprom and its German partners Wintershall and E.ON have announced amendments to the proposed route of the Nord Stream gas export pipeline. Although principally attributable to environmental concerns, the changes partially reflect ongoing political tensions between Russia and European Union (EU) states.
