US$830mn In Oil As Total's Venezuela Payment

Paris-based oil major Total has confirmed that it will receive US$834mn in the form of oil shipments from Venezuela as compensation for its reduced share in a heavy oil joint venture. The payments are expected to commence before the end of February 2008, according to the company.
