MOL And Transgaz Join Hands

January 2008 | Industry News

Hungary's MOL and Romania's Transgaz have agreed a deal to construct a new natural gas pipeline connecting the two countries. According to a statement from MOL, the pipeline will be 109km long and will run from Arad in Romania to the Hungarian town of Szeged. Reuters has reported that it will be built by the end of 2009. The new route will be the first interconnection between the two countries and should boost their security of supply by allowing greater distribution flexibility, as well as enhancing regional co-operation.
