Gas Natural Plays Down Bid Prospects

One of Europe's biggest gas providers, Madrid-based Gas Natural, is playing down rumours that it is still on the takeover trail and has pledged to concentrate on the profitability and growth of its established business. It unveiled net income for 2007 that emerged 12.3% above the year-earlier level.
