Tengiz Output Boost For 2008

TengizChevrOil (TCO), the consortium developing the giant Tengiz field in Kazakhstan, has announced plans to boost output substantially in 2008 as new production facilities come onstream. According to a TCO spokesman, the project will have the capacity to produce 540,000 barrels per day (b/d) by mid-2008, and there is a target to produce 18mn tonnes of oil this year.
