Korea And US To Collaborate On Flammable Ice

South Korea and the US have signed a statement of intent (SoI) calling for co-operation in the development and commercialisation of gas hydrates deposits. The agreement, signed by South Korea's knowledge minister Lee Youn-Ho and US Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman, provides for joint exploration for gas hydrates, developing feasible methods for using the resource, conducting field tests and exchanging staff and data.
