Karachaganak Hit By New Export Tax

Kazakhstan's Karachaganak gas field development project, which is being led by Italy's Eni (32.5%) and Britain's BG Group (32.5%), is the first Western-operated project to be subject to the country's new oil export tax, according to a senior government official cited by Reuters.
