EU Keen On Trans-Saharan Gas Pipeline

The European Union (EU) has reconfirmed its interest in assisting the construction of the 4,300km long Trans-Saharan gas pipeline, which would transport between 20-30bn cubic metres (bcm) of natural gas from Nigeria across the Sahara Desert to European consumers.
