Another Corruption Scandal Unfolds In Peru

The government of Peru has suspended the contracts that the state licensing agency Perúpetro had awarded to state-owned Petroperú and Norwegian partner Discover Petroleum, after it emerged from a local television news programme that Perúpetro's director Alberto Quimper had negotiated under-the-table payments for awarding the contracts to the two companies.
