Boost To Crude Output As Galoc Comes Onstream
October 2008 | Industry NewsOil production has started at the Galoc field offshore the Philippines, the country's first oil field development in 16 years. The field, near Palawan island around 350km south-west of Manila, will eventually produce up to 20,000 barrels per day (b/d), equivalent to 6.5% of the country's estimated 2008 crude demand. This should allow the Philippines to reduce its oil import bill
