Copaiba Hits Light Oil Offshore Brazil
December 2008 | Industry NewsNorwegian independent Norse Energy has confirmed an oil discovery at Block BM-CAL-5 in the Camamu-Almada Basin, around 17km off the southern coast of Bahia State in Brazil. The Oslo-based company said the Copaiba well hit light oil, measuring 32 degress API, but added that net pay could be lower than pre-drill estimates. Exploration activity both on and offshore Brazil is expanding rapidly.
