Petroecuador To Delay Energy Projects As Government Cuts Spending

Ecuador's oil minister Derlis Palacios has announced that in 2009 public investment in the country's energy sector is likely to be around US$1-1.2bn, which would be significantly below the US$2.7bn needed to maintain current output levels.
