Al Zour Faces Further Delays

Following a decision by Kuwait's cabinet on August 25 to transfer the issues regarding the construction of the al Zour refinery to the state Audit Bureau, the opposition party Popular Action Bloc has now said that this move is insufficient in dealing with the matter and that instead the government should scrap the bidding process and the awarding of contracts and launch a new bidding process through the Central Tenders Committee (CTC) in accordance with the Tenders Law.
