Occidental Wins Awali Contract

Bahrain has awarded US independent Occidental Petroleum a tender to increase output from the onshore Awali oil field, according to a statement by oil minister Abdul-Hussain bin Ali Mirza. The final contract will be signed in April 2009, once it has been approved by parliament.
