GDF Suez Reports 16.6% Increase In Sales Revenues In 2008

Newly merged GDF Suez has reported a 16.6% gross increase year-on-year (y-o-y) in sales revenues to EUR83.1bn. The company has said that the main factors for the rise in revenues are continued development of the company's gas and electricity sector in Europe and internationally, high and volatile prices throughout 2008, sustained commercial development on energy services activities, continued investments in infrastructures and a considerable increase in Suez Environment's business.
