Most Of Camisea's Gas Reserved For Domestic Market

As expected, on August 27 the Peruvian energy minister Pedro Sánchez announced the reservation of the majority of gas reserves at the country's flagship Camisea project for domestic consumption. The newly re-negotiated Camisea contracts have significantly limited the amount of gas available for export via the liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant that is currently under construction.
